The IMET Academy is our internal learning hub. Within the Academy we have vibrant graduate and apprenticeship programs and an online learning and personal development platform that supports internal training and the opportunities we provide. It includes modules to help our team develop skills and knowledge across all areas of our business, from a new apprentice on the shop floor to an experienced manager in our leadership team.
As well as supporting our team in their personal development, the academy helps us provide individuals with a clear career pathway and show that a future with IMET is full of possibility.
Alongside this, we engage with universities through Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) and regularly welcome new graduates into the organisation. We value the challenge, fresh ideas and new perspectives they bring, which help us continue to evolve and innovate.
We're looking for people like Sean or Charlie. If you're a recent graduate and think you have something to offer us, we'd like to hear from you.
In the UK, IMET have engaged with Glasgow Caledonian University participating in their Engineering Graduate Apprenticeship Course which combines academic study with on-the-job experience within IMET. This apprenticeship typically lasts four years and is designed to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to work as an engineer.
In the USA, we have partnered with South Piedmont College in Monroe, North Carolina to develop and offer a maintenance apprenticeship program. This typically lasts three years and combines classroom study, onsite hands-on learning and mentoring from our maintenance team leaders.
They gain valuable hands-on industry experience and a chance to put their learning into practice. In return, we gain fresh perspectives from the work they do.
