The IMET Academy includes graduate and apprenticeship programs and an online learning and personal development tool. The online tool supports both our internal training and external opportunities. It includes digital, hands-on and classroom-based learning and modules that help our team develop their skills and knowledge across all areas of our business, from a new apprentice on the shop floor to an experienced manager in our leadership team.
As well as supporting our team in their personal development, the academy helps us provide each person with a clear career pathway and show that a future with IMET is full of possibility.
We also support executive education courses such as MBAs and regularly take on new graduates. We welcome the challenge, new ideas and fresh thinking they bring.
We're looking for people like Charlie. If you're a recent graduate and think you have something to offer us, we'd like to hear from you.
The students base their final-year dissertations on the work they undertake with us. They gain valuable hands-on industry experience and a chance to put their learning into practice. We gain fresh perspectives on what we do.
In the UK, we partner with Glasgow Caledonian University on their Graduate Apprenticeship in Engineering. The course combines academic study with on-the-job experience. It typically lasts four years and is designed to give apprentices the skills and knowledge they need to work as an engineer.
In the USA, we partner with South Piedmont College in Monroe, North Carolina. We first worked with them to develop a maintenance apprenticeship program, which we now offer. It typically lasts for three years and combines classroom study, onsite hands-on learning and mentoring from our maintenance team leaders.
