Protecting our planet is one of the three areas we focus on as part of our corporate and social responsibilities

Continuous improvement across our global operations

We are committed to continuous improvement in all areas of our business. Relentlessly looking at our energy usage, operational efficiency and waste reduction programs at all IMET facilities worldwide. To maintain our company focus and drive improvements, we have a Director of Sustainability and Planning as well as an appointed Sustainability Champion, who is an engineer certified in the Bilan Carbone methodology – a standardized methodology for assessing a company’s carbon footprint.

In collaboration with external environmental consultants, IMET has completed a detailed carbon footprint assessment and developed an action plan focused on:

  • Improving emissions reporting accuracy
  • Reducing operational carbon output
  • Embedding long-term performance improvement across IMET and supported supply chains

Having a combined sustainability and engineering remit ensures that carbon and resource efficiency are integrated into major projects from the outset, delivering measurable improvements in energy use, water consumption, waste reduction and product quality.
