When did you join IMET?

I joined IMET in 2021, having spent my entire career in this industry. I started working in the sector straight out of high school at the age of 18 and now have nearly 20 years of industry experience.

What do you do here at IMET? What is your main responsibility?

My primary responsibility is to support Jimmy in managing all operations at the Monroe facility, with a greater focus on assisting Ryan in overseeing the wash lines than the other departments.

What do you need to be good at to do your job well?

Maintaining a professional attitude in all situations, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, a solid background in mathematics and industry experience, and consistently paying attention to detail.

What problems do you need to overcome as part of your work?

Managing employee concerns, correcting mislabelled tags and labels, resolving production and ITS issues, training new employees, and addressing contamination concerns between lots and specific suppliers.

How do you know when your work has gone well?

When our team works in unison towards the common goal, production increases, and the quality of our work meets IMET standards. This is when I know things are going well.

What do you enjoy most about your job and working in this industry?

I appreciate being part of a great team.  Many of the people I work with I have known for years in this industry, and it’s rare to have such positive coworkers.  I also value having nearly 20 years of experience and being able to use that knowledge to support IMET and help newer employees grow.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

My biggest passion outside of work is cooking.  I enjoy trying new recipes each week and mastering specific dishes, continually challenging myself with more complex meals.  Outside of cooking, I also enjoy fishing, water sports, and snowboarding.
