When did you join IMET?

I joined IMET in 2022 at the very beginning of the company’s development in France, bringing with me eight years of experience from BorgWarner. I was involved in setting up the initial structures, establishing production processes, and supporting the growth of the site in a rapidly expanding environment.

What do you do at IMET? What is your main responsibility?

I am the Production Manager. My primary responsibility is to ensure that materials are recycled according to the production schedule, in the best possible conditions, while meeting quality, safety, and deadline requirements.

I am also responsible for structuring and developing the production team, which is constantly evolving. This includes organizing work, supporting the team, continuously improving methods, and coordinating activities with other departments such as quality, logistics, maintenance, and commercial.

What skills and knowledge are necessary to do your job well?

To do this job well, it is essential to be organized, have a comprehensive understanding of production, be able to anticipate technical and human constraints, maintain rigor in quality and safety, and possess strong management and communication skills.

I have gained experience in recycling processes, material management, compliance with client requirements, and quality standards. I also try to adapt work methods and organize activities to keep up with the changing volumes and evolving team structure.

What challenges do you face in your work?

The main challenges include managing priorities in a constantly changing environment, adapting to variations in volumes and schedules, maintaining a high level of quality, recruiting and training team members, and handling technical or logistical issues. These challenges require responsiveness, communication, and teamwork.

How do you know when your work has been successful?

I know my work has been successful when quality, safety, and schedule objectives are met, the planning is respected, the teams work in good conditions, clients are satisfied, and problems are anticipated or quickly resolved.

What do you enjoy most about your work and this industry?

What I enjoy most is contributing to the development of a growing business, working in a team and managing people, and being part of a useful and responsible industry, recycling. I also appreciate the daily challenges that make the work dynamic and never repetitive.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with my family and loved ones and engaging in sports or activities that help me disconnect and maintain a good work-life balance.
